Direct Hire | $85,000 – $90,000 per year

Our client is seeking an Immigration Staff Attorney to provide legal representation and advocacy for immigrant communities throughout Marin County. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently licensed attorney with immigration law experience gained through internships, law school clinics, fellowships, or direct legal employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in immigration matters before USCIS and related agencies
• Conduct client interviews, intake assessments, and case evaluations
• Prepare and file immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation
• Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda
• Provide community legal education and outreach
• Participate in immigration clinics and intake events
• Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, interns, and volunteers
• Maintain accurate case records and reporting requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing
• 1+ year of immigration law experience, including:
  • Immigration law internships
  • Law school immigration clinics
  • Fellowships or externships
  • Employment with an immigration law firm or nonprofit
• Experience with USCIS filings and immigration case preparation
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
• Passion for serving immigrant and underserved communities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Spanish fluency
• Experience with asylum, family-based immigration, humanitarian relief, removal defense, or naturalization matters

Hybrid Schedule

• 2 days in the San Rafael office
• 1 day onsite in Novato
• 2 days remote (subject to approval)
