Perfect Timing is excited to present this opportunity with our client, a well-established West Marin organization seeking an experienced Accounting & Operations Manager to support accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and business operations.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced accounting professional seeking long-term stability, meaningful responsibility, and direct interaction with ownership. The position combines bookkeeping, payroll, QuickBooks administration, general ledger management, rental accounting support, financial security support, and select family office responsibilities in a highly trusted environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with ownership and help support both company operations and select financial and administrative matters. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, values relationship-driven work, and wants to become a trusted member of a close-knit team. Candidates with backgrounds in bookkeeping, accounting, family office operations, trust administration, wealth management support, or closely held businesses are encouraged to apply.
Schedule
• Four days per week
• Preferred start time of 6:30 AM; a 7:30 AM start may be considered for the right candidate
Compensation
• $80 per hour
• Merit-based bonus opportunity available in lieu of a traditional benefits package
Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Enter and categorize transactions in QuickBooks
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Assist with year-end accounting and tax preparation support
• Support rental-related accounting activities
• Maintain organized financial records and files
• Assist with financial reporting and accounting support as needed
Operations & Administrative Support
• Maintain filing systems and business records
• Coordinate vendor and service-provider relationships
• Assist with operational and administrative projects
• Support financial and administrative projects for ownership as needed
• Handle special projects and follow-up items as assigned
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Advanced QuickBooks experience
• Payroll processing experience
• General ledger and account reconciliation experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• High attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
• Ability to work independently
• Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite
Preferred Qualifications
• 10+ years of accounting experience
• Rental property accounting experience
• Tax preparation support experience
• Family office or closely held business experience
• Trust administration or wealth management support experience
• CPA designation preferred but not required
• Familiarity with hedge fund investments preferred
